Zia Ashan Husbands
It’s hard to believe this beauty is just 14 years old but with 10 years of dance training behind her she has big places to go!
With her team at Sunshine Coast Conservatory of Dance Zia has developed a love for contemporary and ballet excelling in those styles resulting in an acceptance into the commercial and classical program at HQ Dance Co.
It is so obvious that Zia lives and breathes dance. She says “I love to dance because it frees all my emotions and I can lose myself in it. It is a great discipline and keeps me aware of my body. It helps me value my self-worth and spread positively. It sends important messages in a language everyone can understand. I love how it has no limitations and no matter where you are from or your ability you can understand it. “
Zia finds inspiration in other dancers and choreographers in our community including; Cat Santos, Devante Latorre, Kelly Muscillo and Shayne Samoley.
We can see just how kind hearted Zia is, “I believe everyone is special in their own way but my work ethic, enthusiasm and genuine passion makes me special. I believe the only limits are the ones you create.”
